Karma is a nice date spot to sit and linger over some trippy cocktails
When a restaurant we've recently dined at and whose food we've really loved opened a lounge, we looked
forward to pay a visit. We expected the finger-food should be tasty, the cocktails creative and the service
impeccable.

We were informed that they weren't fully functional yet but, as of now, it's Rs 500 entry (inclusive of Rs 300 cover charge). We entered, were given coupons, took a seat and enjoyed the polite service, candle-light and Retro music. We were handed a Paprika (the above-mentioned restaurant) menu. We picked our choice of drinks and cocktails.u00a0
When our server walked up to us to take the order, we handed him the coupons. He refused and handed us another small cocktail menu. "This is the menu you can order from with the coupons," we were informed. That meant we absolutely couldn't order a starter. It would have been nice if they had specified that at the gate.
Our first choice from the list was unavailable, so, we settled for a Vodka Martini with Olives (Rs 200). The drink arrived on time but without any olives. We really enjoyed it anyway.
Next, we tried the Pink Breeze (Rs 200), a cocktail that combined pomegranate with cranberry, a dash of rum and lime and filled with lemonade. We found it a tad too overpowering which could only be blended and diluted by adding a few ice cubes.
Finally, for our last cocktail we chose a Lady In Green (Rs 200). This one was rum-based as well, with lychee, lemon and mint for a blend. Unfortunately, the combination didn't work at all for us. It was a weird mix that did not go down well at all.
Overall, Karma was a nice, relaxed lounge to go out for a date. The music was a mix of English Retro with Trance thrown in later. The service was polite and the staff included a warm bunch of people. We suggest they should allow people to order from the restaurant (Paprika) on their cover, or have a Karma menu that's as nice as Paprika's.
