Once upon a time, you needed to understand octal system to call yourself a geek. For instance, if your marketing person came to you and said that he wanted you to grant write permission for a owner of a file, read permission for the group and none for others, you would do a 'chmod 640' for this file (if you don't understand what this means, you are not a geek and you can't join the Mystic Knights of the Lambda Calculus).

Unfortunately for people like us, people today just right click something, select some option, and say that they are geeks. So, how do you, the real geek, differentiate yourself and stand head and shoulders above the pretenders? By buying some of these products, that's how!

Just slide it: This is the ultimate geek tool, something that can only be used with proper training. This is in some ways obsolete, but that is the main reason why you should own one. In fact, ThinkGeek says that these are handcrafted because no slide rule manufacturing facility exists currently. [$29.99; Rs 1449]

No fork in the road: Should you hold a fork in the right or left hand? Who cares? This spork is both a spoon and fork built into one. Carry this to a formal party and watch everybody say wow as you dig into your beetroot like a good child. And did we tell you that this is made of titanium? [$8.99; Rs 434]

Measure and store: Anybody can use a measuring tape, so you decide to go one better on them by using a device that can store the data too! Of course, what did others think that you use pen and paper to jot things down? [$19.99; Rs 966]

Surprise such people with this hydrokinetic adjustable wrench, which can tighten 23 different sizes of bolts and nuts. Just fit the head around a nut and push the gripper at the other end and the liquid pressure will cause it to tighten around bolts of various sizes.
