"I am a huge Michael Jackson fan and we used to groove to his tunes at our dance classes. His death came as a huge shock and that's when I decided to paint him on canvas. I have close to 8 paintings as part of the Tribute to Michael Jackson," says Nagarwala.
One of his paintings depicts the four stages of Jackson's life. The exhibition also includes abstract, still life, landscapes and portrait paintings. Nagarwala likes to focus on a particular theme for each of his works. For instance, the painting titled Legs tries to show that there are people in the world who achieve a lot but are still down-to-earth and there are many who want everything without burning their feet.
Apart from painting, Nagarwala enjoys reading books, travelling, photography and listening to music. This being his second exhibition in the city, he is glad that his work has been liked by many and hopes that this exhibition receives a good response. He has been the recipient of many awards including the State Art Award Maharashtra (2010), Camlin Award in oil and Bombay Art Society Selectionu00a0 (2009 & 2010).
