On its second anniversary, Live From The Console is set to treat music connoisseurs with a plethora of the best in Indie music

Live From The Console (LFTC) was launched two years ago as a platform to encourage budding musicians. After managing to create a niche for itself by bringing forth talented artistes from across the country, it has never failed to enthrall music buffs. Now to celebrate its second anniversary on July 27, LFTC will feature exhilarating performances by Rock/Folk band The Mavyns; a debut act by Psychedelic Alternative Rock group The Bicycle Days and a peek into musician Raxit Tewari's solo project (read interview), titled Your Chin.

"We played at the first LFTC edition, so playing at the second anniversary will be a lot of fun. It's one of the best events in the city and we are very excited about this gig. We will be playing most of the songs from our last album, From The Tree Of No Ledge," says Pradeep Mathews, lead guitarist and vocalist of The Mavyns.

Rahul Ranganath, the guitarist of The Bicycle Days is looking forward to the event as well. "I think the real essence of an artiste's live performance is captured really well at this event. We are looking forward to it and are expecting to see a room packed with people who are there just for the music," he wishes.

The band that comprises of members, who "unintentionally gravitated towards trippy sounding music", in Ranganath's words, will be playing songs from their album Calamitunes and some older compositions as well. However, since they believe in altering things during the eleventh hour, audiences can be in for a surprise. "Ideally, we wouldn't want anyone coming with any expectations, it might just ruin the experience," asserts Ranganath.
