Tech: 250,000 units of Xiaomi Redmi 4 sold in 8 minutes in India

After Xiaomi Redmi 4 went on sale in India today, the smartphone received great response from customers and managed to sell as many as 250,000 in just 8 minutes

After Xiaomi Redmi 4 went on sale in India today, the smartphone received great response from customers and managed to sell as many as 250,000 in just 8 minutes. This was Redmi 4's first sale in India.

The phone was exclusively available on Amazon and the company's official website. The next Redmi 4 sale will take place on May 30. The 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage version of the smartphone has a price tag of Rs. 6,999. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage version has a price tag of Rs. 8,999, and the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage is tagged at Rs. 10,999.

The most striking features of the phone are Snapdragon 435 processer, a metal body and a fingerprint scanner at the rear panel. The budget smartphone is available in two colour variants- Matte Black and Elegant Gold colour. The phone offers attractive features at affordable prices, and therefore grabbed the attention of buyers too quickly.
