As Maharashtra witnesses its worst drought in 40 years, it isencouraging to know that collegians in the city have plans to do their bit towards this state problem.

The Rotaract Club of HR College, which is the youth wing of the Rotary Club of Bombay, is organising Boond - an initiative to provide clean water to villages for drinking and domestic purposes.

The case of The Class Act

For the same, they have arranged for the staging of The Class Act, a play based in an acting class where students come from different religious, caste and class backgrounds and have conflicting views on almost everything leading to utter chaos and confusion.

The initiative will first target Kumbharwadi village in Ahmednagar district and will then go to other villages. The youth wing has tied up with an association called the Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR), which will guide them through this process. Show up, and help make a difference in a small way.
