Theatre aficionados in the city can catch the premiere of Saurabh Agarwal's play Utter Cupidity or head to a physical theatre workshop to train themselves

Fun time with love
Most of us have been in love and know that love can often get too complicated. Thinking from the heart can end up making you feel stupid and trying to impress can often lead to disasters. Throwing light on such funny situations is Saurabh Agarwal's new play Utter Cupidity. It is a complete entertainer that will give you an insight into modern-day romance.

With stand-up acts, music and short comedies, this play is going to make you laugh. And most probably, while you are in ROFL mode, you will be able to identify with many of the situations being played out on stage. The cast of the play includes Sunaina Gulia, Aadar Malik, Mikhail Vaishnav, Saurabh Agarwal and Anisa and it premieres this Tuesday.

Unleash the actor in you
Attend a theatre workshop, where apart from acting and the mind, the focus will be on the physical aspect of theatre. Faezeh Jalali (co-founder of FAT Productions), who has studied the art in the USA, will be conducting a physical theatre workshop in the city, that will focus on the work of Rudolph Laban. Laban is considered a pioneer of modern dance in Europe.

His work laid the foundations for the Laban Movement Analysis creating a movement vocabulary that leads to a deeper understanding of one's body. It helps one acquire a better understanding of human movement and can help develop the story-telling process. This can be of immense help to an actor enabling him to break down a movement into its component parts and execute movements with more precision. Participants will use the techniques and apply them to create, explore and discover characters and scenes
in depth.
