The latest update on WhatsApp, tagged as version 2.17.1, for iPhone contains some useful features for users. It's about 91.2MB in size and is available for users with iOS 7 or higher installed.

Firstly, WhatsApp messages can be queued offline and 30 photos or videos can be shared at a time. This is especially a huge sigh of relief for WhatsApp for iPhone users in low data connectivity areas.

The main reason is that WhatsApp on iOS will require to connect to a data network after being launched. Messages would only be sent or received after that.

With the new update, WhatsApp users will be able to send the messages, even if they are offline, which will be queued. These queued messages will then be sent after connectivity is regained.

The update features another addition, which greatly benefits users with lower internal storage. It has a tool that enables them to peep into individual or group chats to check, which one is hogging up their storage. With this, unnecessary heavy content like certain GIFs, images or text can be deleted for freeing up storage space.
