Zero rhino, tiger poaching cases in Manas National Park in last three years: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam's Manas National Park has recorded zero rhino and tiger poaching cases in the last three years, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday.

He credited the relentless efforts in the state to preserve faunal diversity for the feat. "Zero Rhino and Tiger Poaching in Manas National Park for 3 straight years!" Sarma said in a post on X.

Manas National Park & Tiger Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is spread across 850 sq km with four ranges is located in Baksa and Chirang districts in Western Assam at the foothills of Eastern Himalayas.
