'My extramarital affair has come to an end'

So I married someone my family approved. But I kept in touch with her even after my marriage. We would meet discreetly or talk on the phone several times in a day. This went on for four years. But last week she called me to say that we have to stop meeting and talking. This has been extremely difficult for me as I am still stuck on her. Has she found someone else as she was still single?

Dear Naren,
Wise sense prevailed upon the woman. It is best to cut off all contact with her if you want your marriage to survive. All these years you may have not been caught but sooner or later you would have. First of all you did not have it in you to marry her. Then you wed someone else and still carried on an affair with her. This woman has finally realised that her relationship with you is going to get her no where. If she has found someone else, it is good for her as she has to move on in life. Even if she hasn't you need to leave her alone. She is a closed chapter of your life.
