My shy nature prevents me from making friends

Deep inside, I feel like being one of those cool guys but I just can't be like them. What's worse is that I could not make a good friend in my first year of college. The academic year is about to end and I've been simply waiting for others to approach me. That just didn't happen.

What was stopping you the entire year to make friends? You may feel shy and awkward in making the first move, but if you want to amend the situation, you have to shed the shy tag. There are so many common subjects to talk about - from lectures, professors and exams. You can't go hunting for a best friend. You might just click with someone due to common interests. If the academic year is coming to an end, make amends next year and get going. Just be yourself, everyone cannot be a cool dude! u00a0
