My girlfriend cheated on me and I'm confused

Dear Diana,
My girlfriend and I have been dating for over two years now. A few days ago she told me that she got friendly with this guy and was having a physical relationship with him. She tells me I deserve something better than her. I love her and did not get angry even though she cheated on me. I want to be with her, and I'm willing to do what it takes but I'm wondering whether I'm mistaken in forgiving her. I just don't know what I should be doing. She keeps telling me that I need someone better than her. Am I being made a fool here?

You don't even have to think for a second. She cheated on you! This girl needs to be dumped pronto. She not only two-timed you, but also has the audacity to tell you about it. Imagine telling you that she is having a physical relationship with him. She has just used you and is now dumping you for this new guy. It is obvious that she does not care for you at all. Don't be a jerk and wait around for her. Tell her it's over and goodbye. Next time be more wary and careful in a relationship. Best of luck.
