Beera and Ragini may have done it with tree roots in Raavan, but in real life you might need proper gear to climb up a waterfall.
Abseiling, or rappelling as it is often called, is simply a method of descending a rope in a controlled and safe manner. As exhilarating as rappelling may be, doing so on a waterfall surface can be even more exciting.
What better time than now to try out this daredevil stunt. The rush of cold water, the treacherous slippery surface and a gravity defying descent all make for one heady adventure.

The difficulty grade depends on the waterfalls and heights can range from 5 to 50 m.
In Maharashtra, many operators organise day trips to Karjat and Kondane Caves for waterfall abseiling. July to September is ideal foru00a0 waterfall rappelling as most falls run dry during the rest of the year.
