The big splash with Parvin Dabas at Tarkarli
Tarkarli is still private to an extent, has a great beach with clean waters and awesome seafood. Some guys here have also started snorkelling and scuba diving, which is amazing, if lazing around on the beach is not all that you seek.
There was this one time when I was taking pictures of some fishermen on the beach. They weren't too pleased but the moment I showed them their pictures on my digital camera, they loved them and started posing. They wouldn't let me go till I had taken pictures of all of them! I also remember another time when the guy who runs the scuba diving facility took me diving to places underwater that have not been explored by anyone yet. We even spotted the Cobia, which could be mistaken for a small shark.

A must-do when you get to Tarkarli is to stay at the MTDC resort and explore Sindhudurg. Ensure you keep it clean and don't litteru00a0-- the gorgeous sea fort is already on its way to ruin.
