Looking for a quick tip for a weekend getaway? We got some of Mumbai's well-known faces to spill the beans about the places they escape to, when the maddening city gets to them

DJ Suketu likes to mix it up in Lonavala
Not more than two hours away from the chaos of the city, Lonavala is close enough to be able to reach at a moment's notice and far enough to drown out the city buzz. I own a bungalow in Lonavla, which is my ideal holiday home. It comes with a lawn, a sit-out ufffd the works.

En route, I have a routine that I almost never let go of. We normally leave at 7 am, do a quick pit stop at McDonald's, just before the Expressway. On reaching Lonavala, the first thing I do is kick off my shoes and lie back. This is my absolute me-time. I try my best to catch up on reading and movies. Since there is no Internet at the bungalow, I'm disconnected from the outside world and wouldn't have it any other way.

If you love trekking, you can hike it up to the Rajmachi Fort in Lonavala

At my getaway, I make sure I'm manning the cooking as well as the bartending. I'm a closet cook and quite the avid bartender when it comes to mixing drinks. Lonavala is ideal for walks, jogs and treks. There is a beautiful Ganesh temple about eight minutes from where I stay that we often visit. The road leading to the temple is always lush green and serene. Nippy weather, good company, a beautiful lawn and a sizzling grill -- Lonavala offers me all this and much more.
