Mumbai based designer Sonaakshi Raaj tied the knot with her long time beau and restaurateur Nikhil Merani. The celebrations kicked off with a Mata Ki Chowki. Sonaakshi looked ethereal as she wore a pastel-coloured heavily embroidered gharara. Her dupatta, which was in contrast to her dress, accentuated her look.

Sonaakshi Raaj's husband Nikhil Merani is a restaurateur who runs a popular salad bar, an Asian eatery and a European-style cafe in Juhu. The actress had thrown a star-studded cocktail party at Estella. For the party, Sonaakshi looked pretty in a custom-made oxblood gown from her label. She finished her look by wearing shiny diamond earrings and bracelet.

The party was attended by Kriti Kharbanda, Sajid Khan, Raveena Tandon, Nushrat Bharucha, Sophie Choudry and Karan Wahi amongst others who celebrated along with the couple. Sonaakshi shared the pictures on Instagram and wrote, "My Fairtytale is just about to begin as I cherish the start of #SuperSoNik, living my Cinderella moment with my Prince Charming"

Sonaakshi Raaj's Mehendi lehenga was an instant hit with everybody. She was decked in a mint & floral ensemble embellished with multi-hued floral applique in fruity pastel shades. Her mehndi function was all about sorbet hues of love laughter and celebrations. Sonaakshi kept her hair open and added sprigs of colourful baby’s breath to her dreamy curls which perfectly matched with the colourful floral decor and purple drapes.

'Posers for life' Sonaakshi Raaj posed in her ethnic ensemble with sister Malvika Raaj who played the role of Little Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. The ace designer held three private functions in Thailand, where only her close family and friends were present.

For the Haldi, the two sisters were seen enjoying a candid moment. The two twinned in bright yellow dresses and with Haldi smudged over their faces.

For the function, Sonaakshi adorned floral jewellery of contrast colours. She wore a necklace, earrings, maangtika and 'hathful' which is a combination of a bracelet and a ring.

For the pheras, the stunning bride made a jaw-dropping entrance in a powder pink lehenga while the groom opted for a beige sherwani and a pink, floral print safa. She wrote, "That moment..experiencing a surge of so many new emotions."

Sonaakshi expressed her feelings and said, "I’m so grateful to have blossomed in a family that holds ‘togetherness’ above all, I saw a new side of the people I grew up with. I saw the cubs of my family become mature, saw cousins from all sides unite. The pureness of the celebration- made it more than just my wedding."

The two were surrounded by lush green foliage and emerald waters which added to the charm of their wedding at the golden hour.

Sonaakshi looked like a dream in a blush pink embroidered lehenga at her wedding. She wore a thin belt which emphasized her waist. For the jewellery, she went for a diamond choker set with long drop earrings and maang tikka. Special mention must be given to her cowrie shell kaleeras which added a surprise element and a fresh spin to her wedding trousseau.

Sonaakshi designed her wedding lehenga herself. While the bride exuded opulence in a glamorous lehenga and floral jewellery, the groom opted for a beige sherwani and a pink, floral print safa.

Sonaakshi shared the picture of her 'dhoom tana na' moment and wrote, "The day felt like the angels were signing above us, surreal"

She shared this candid picture and wrote, "To the man who taught me how to fall in Love!
Together, @nikhilmerani & I made a vow. A vow to be best friends- forever. Everything else over that is a gift from the Gods. #SuperSoNik was the best way for us to convey the feeling of our relationship."

In one of her posts, Sonaakshi also wrote her full name and wrote #SonaakshiRaajMerani. How adorable! We wish the couple a very happy married life full of laughter and togetherness!
