Mumbai Indians (MI) owner Nita Ambani carried the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 winner trophy to the famed Siddhivinayak Temple at Prabhadevi in Mumbai. MI registered a scintillating one-run win over Chennai Super Kings on May 12, 2019, when Lasith Malinga delivered the killer blow in a rip-roaring final at Hyderabad

After the euphoria across the city as Mumbai Indians players toured the city in an open bus with the Indian Premier League crown, the coveted trophy found a special place in the Ambani household as owner Nita Ambani placed it at the feet of Lord Krishna and Radha in their temple inside the Antilia

A video of the same was circulated online. In the video, Nita Ambani is seen carrying the trophy into the prayer room and having placed the trophy in front of the Gods, she then chants: "Jai Shri Krishna."

In fact, after the loss in their opening game against Delhi Capitals, Nita Ambani invited skipper Rohit Sharma and team to the Ambani household to de-stress and bond

Team owner Nita Ambani was also seen on the bus. Malinga was also seen waving to the crowd and head coach Mahela Jayawardene was seen holding the coveted cup. Earlier, the team arrived from Hyderabad on Monday evening with several fans at the Mumbai airport clicking pictures of the IPL champions

On Monday, Mumbai Indians players took part in a victory parade in an 'open bus' on the streets of south Mumbai. The celebrations continued with members of the squad and support staff travelling in an open bus from Antilla (the residence of Ambanis who own the team) to Trident (the team hotel) in south Mumbai, with fans lining up to cheer them on.

Mumbai Indians is the only franchise in the history of the cash-rich tournament to clinch the title four times from 12 seasons while Chennai led by charismatic Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who ended runner-up last night, have won the coveted trophy
