The OG blue-eyed boy of Indie pop is taking us on a walk down memory lane this week. The singer-songwriter's much-awaited third album Full Moon Chamber is set to release in July, and by the sound of the lead single that's out, we can safely say Kuhad's signature sound is here to stay.
Okay, so we were torn between this track and the male version by Adam Levine. Knightley and Levine jam together in the film, Begin Again, the bittersweet love story that also stars the dependable Mark Ruffalo. The nuanced arrangement, especially the guitarplay and the calming violin interludes make for easy listening sessions. With lyrics like "â¦But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark," the track can touch a raw nerve too.
The breakout hip-hop track is a high-energy anthem about ambition, confidence and making your presence impossible to ignore. Driven by an infectious beat, it captures the feeling of moving with purpose.
It might be a dozen years old, but this jazzy pop version of Faiz Ahmed Faiz's biting nazm still throws an effective punch. Sad as the reality might sound, it is still a catchy track, and addictive to hum along with.
This 1983 pop anthem about someone constantly changing colours to fit in, only to lose themselves in the process. Wrapped in an irresistibly catchy melody, it turns into a song you can't help but dance to.
