Pune blast accused remanded to judicial custody

A Delhi court sent a suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative, allegedly involved in the Aug 1 Pune blast case, to 14 days judicial custody.


Landge Irfan Mustafa, 30, was arrested near a bus stand in Jaipur Oct 10 and was remanded to 20 days police custody.

The court fixed Wednesday for hearing Mumbai police's plea seeking custody of four other suspected IM operatives allegedly involved in the Pune blast case.

Asad Khan, 33, and Imran Khan, 31, were arrested from south Delhi Sep 26 when they reportedly came to Delhi from Pakistan.

The third operative, Sayed Firoz alias Hamza, 38, was arrested Oct 1 from Nizamuddin railway station here.

Asad Khan, a computer expert, was the alleged recruiter, motivator and ideologue of this IM module, which allegedly got Rs.3 lakh from mentors abroad. Asad, Imran are in judicial custody till Nov 9 while Feroze is in police custody till Oct 31.u00a0
