Two people were held for falsely shooting and circulating a video alleging that the Thane Municipal commissioner, Sanjeev Jaiswal, had molested his domestic helper.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the Municipal commissioner's 15-year-old domestic worker, confessed that she had been paid a certain sum of money for making false allegations against him.

The Thane anti extortion cell (AEC) arrested the duo, identified as 32-year-old Sandip Gundhukhupeand and 35-year-old Ashwin Shetty, on Wednesday and a non-cognizable offence has been filed against them. While Shetty works as a hotelier, Gundhukhupe is a worker of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena party.
