In January 2019, a woman who worked with renowned Bollywood film director Raju Hirani accused him of sexually assaulting her on the sets of his 2018 film Sanju. Hirani has categorically denied these allegations. His lawyer Anand Desai termed the allegations "false, mischievous, scandalous, motivated and defamatory".
