According to sources at the Nanded District Collector's Office, Chavan has indicated that he would file his nomination that day.
Chavan will be contesting from the Mudked Assembly constituency, where he has successfully won.
"It is a very auspicious day and also very lucky for anyone to start a new work," said celebrity astrologer R D Pala.
Vaibhav Nath Sharma, a Varanasi-based astrologer, added, "It is the birth anniversary of Adi Shankracharya, so it's a special day."
Despite several attempts, the CM remained unavailable for comment.
