Geeta Gawli to campaign for Milind Deora

Geeta Gawli, daughter of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli, said she will campaign for Milind Deora if necessary.

Speaking to reporters during a press conference at Dagdi chawl on Wednesday, Gawli's daughter said, her party Akhil Bharatiya Sena, will support Congress candidate.

She also announced that Arun Gawli will not contest Lok Sabha election from Mumbai South

Geeta, who is a corporator, said, "We have pulled out of the election because he (Arun Gawli) is in jail. It will be difficult for us to work for the people."

"Milind in the best candidate to carry out development work in Byculla. We decided to support Deora because he is a youth leader and has done good work," she said.

Gawli, an MLA from Chinchpokli in central Mumbai, had announced last week that he will contest election from Mumbai south.

In the last Lok Sabha election, he had contested from erstwhile Mumbai south central and lost.
