In what's an unfortunate and freak accident, a woman was killed after falling into the gap between the platform and train at the Borivali station while trying to get off a moving train.
The tragic incident happened when the 55-year-old woman, identified as Kirandevi Kothari, was trying to deboard from the Vadodara Express, while it was still moving, along with some relatives. In the CCTV footage, she appears to lose her balance, slips and falls into the one-foot gap between the train and the platform.

The footage shows a woman getting off the train first, a man gets off next, followed by saree-clad Kothari. Her relatives tries very hard to rescue her, but to no avail.
The authorities stopped the train immediately. She was then rushed to the hospital, but declared dead on arrival.
