Mankar's Audi that the cops seized yesterday
DCP, zone 3, Virendra Mishra confirmed the arrest. Meanwhile, the investigators have also recovered Mankar's Audi car from Juhu in which the Sanghvis and Mankar had reached hotelier Vishal Karia's house while allegedly being on the run. Karia, too, was arrested yesterday for sheltering the three accused. The police had sought the help of the RTO to get the location of the cars of the owners of 1 Above while trying to trace them.
The police had reached Karia after scanning call data records of Mankar and the Sanghvis, after the cops found Mankar's car parked below Karia's residence. The police then questioned him following which, the police learned that the trio had visited Karia's house and Mankar had then left his car with him.
Jignesh and Kripesh Sanghvi were arrested in Bandra last night
Karia's interrogation led to specific clues of the Sanghvis visiting their lawyer in Bandra West on Wednesday night, after which the police laid a trap and nabbed them from Bandra upon their arrival at the spot. Their interrogation further led to the whereabouts of Mankar who was supposed to reach south Mumbai on Thursday morning. The police arrested him after laying a trap, sources said. A police officer said, "He will be produced before the Bhoiwada court today."
