Man arrested for raping teenager in Thane

According to PI Rajendra Mohite of Valiv Police station, accused Ramesh Gofnur had lured the 15-year-old victim, a relative of his and had sexually abused her several times while threatening her of dire consequences if she revealed the abuse.

Gofnur was arrested last after the tortured girl registered a complaint with the police.

According to the complaint, the accused used to pay her petty sums before taking advantage of her.

The accused has been charged under sections 376(f); 324, 354 and 506 of the IPC and also under the protection of child act, police added.u00a0
