Bhandare (42), a cobbler from Mulund, was one of the first to book the Nano.

He made an upfront payment of Rs 1,40,000 for the high-end model, Nano LX.
An excited Bhandare is now checking out driving schools he can enroll into.

Said Bhandare, "I am delighted. I never expected to be allotted the car though I had been saving for it."
Bhandare lives in a single room with his wife and two children and earns Rs 7,000 a month.
