Mumbai: Trupti Desai enters Haji Ali, offers prayers

Bhumata Brigade leader Trupti Desai along with other activists supporting her entered the Haji Ali dargah at 6 am today amidst high security.

The leader was last month stopped by Muslim women's groups and a large number of community members when she tried to enter the dargah.

Since then Desai has been fighting a separate battle from the 'Haji Ali Sab Ke Liye' forum who distanced themselves from her.

Desai did not enter the inner sanctum which she is fighting for women to regain entry to but instead offered prayers at the place women are allowed.
