February 22 promises to be a treat for bird watchers in Mumbai. With the fifth edition of the Mumbai BirdRace, which has been inspired by the Hong Kong BirdRace, keen bird watchers will spend the day birding in and around Mumbai, Panvel, Kalyan, Alibaug, among other locations.
Sanjay Monga, member, Mumbai BirdRace said, "There are over 350 species of birds, including migratory birds, in these areas during this season. The participants will try and record as many species as possible, with help from expert birders."

In the evening, they will meet at Maharashtra Nature Park inu00a0Sion, where experts will analyse the results. The winners will be decided on the basis of the number of kinds of birds the participants manage to spot.
