The Samta Nagar police have arrested a duo, who allegedly robbed a delivery boy working for the online shopping website company Flipkart when he came to deliver the item, which was ordered.

According to police officials, both the accused are school friends residing in the same locality at Kandivali East. Investigating officers suspect that they may have committed similar crimes in the past.


The accused after their arrest

Their modus operandi would involve placing an order for an item on Flipkart by providing a wrong address. When the delivery boy would call the mobile number provided, the accused would then call him to another address and snatch the valuables at pistol-point.

On December 18 when 22-year-old Ashok Babu Bengali reached Lokhandwala area of Kandivali to deliver the order of Pritam Jignesh Shah, he realized the address is wrong and called the number provided by the buyer. The duo then called him to a nearby building and looted him.

The duo had ordered a sony camera worth Rs 60000 and they looted it and snatched 10000 rupees, which were Bengali's possession.

The accused have been identified as Shailesh Chandra Nagvanshi (26) and Suraj alias Bunty Dubey (29).

According to the DCP Zone 12 Raamkumar Suraj is an accused of murder at Nerol and is out on bail. Shailesh was working for a reputed cellphone company.
