A 51-year-old film producer has been booked by Mumbai police for allegedly molesting and threatening a 29-year-old struggling model at a five-star hotel in Juhu on Monday night


A 51-year-old film producer has been booked by Mumbai police for allegedly molesting and threatening a 29-year-old struggling model at a five-star hotel in Juhu on Monday night.

The victim and producer had known each other for a few months and were in constant touch after they met at one of the parties.

According to Juhu Police station sources, the complainant has alleged that the film producer, identified as Suresh Mehta, had asked her to reach the Sea Princess Hotel in western Mumbai's Juhu area on the pretext that he was interested in signing her for an upcoming movie which he was financing.

On receiving Mehta's call, the victim reached the hotel. After chatting with her for a while, Mehta allegedly began touching her. When she objected to this, he threatened her and abused her as well, police said.

After the allegations made by model, we have registered the FIR. The arrest will only made after we go through the CCTV camera footage at the hotel to find out the authenticity of the case, police added.

The producer has made two movies earlier and he was going to makee another movie. The police have booked him under section 354, 506, 504.
