The central government on Saturday stepped up the consultation process on the Telangana demand by holding discussions with Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan and CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy but dismissed talk of President's rule in the state


The central government on Saturday stepped up the consultation process on the Telangana demand by holding discussions with Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan and CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy but dismissed talk of President's rule in the state. Narasimhan met PM Manmohan Singh and P Chidambaram separately on Saturday.

The AP Governor said, after a meeting with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, "there is no question of imposing President's rule".
