Beauty pageants are also cashed in on. From Miss India to Miss Goa to Miss Delhi, agencies with names associated with various beauty contests are extremely popular.

Speaking with MiD DAY, an agent of Miss India Escorts, said, "None of our escorts have participated in any beauty contests. However, such names give a boost to our business."

When this reporter contacted lizaray.com, their agent said, "We have got nothing to do with the actress. It's just that we needed a name for our escort agency and we decided to go with this one."

However, an agent of Bombay Bollywood Escorts claimed that their agency has roped in a few models and television actresses. "We have girls from the entertainment industry working for us.
