Passenger arrested for molesting air hostess

A 46-year-old passenger, on board an Emirates flight, was today arrested upon his arrival at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport for allegedly molesting an air hostess, police said.

The accused, identified as Harun Salaam, hails from Jalna district of Maharashtra, and works in Dubai.

"On board the Mumbai-bound Emirates flight from Dubai, he allegedly molested and behaved indecently with the victim while she was serving him food," police said.

The flight, EK 500 flight, took off from Dubai at 10.30 PM yesterday and landed at the airport at 3 AM. "The air hostess then brought Salaam's behaviour to the crew's notice. He was allegedly in a drunken state," police said.

Police have arrested the accused, under section 354 of IPC (for outraging the modesty of the woman).
