Azhar's mother took up for him as well. Shamim Mohammad said, "My son said something he shouldn't have. He was overwhelmed and didn't understand what to say."
Interestingly, Azhar and the other child actors from Slumdog, who were the star attraction at the Oscars, were initially not permitted entry at the Filmfare Awards on Saturday. According to Azhar, they were allowed to attend the awards function, but were made to wait outside the gate for a long time.
At the awards, Azhar said he rubbed shoulders with a number of Bollywood biggies, including Sr Bachchan.u00a0u00a0

Though it is actor Salman Khan that Azhar swears by, Big B is on his mind at the moment.
However, Azhar may have to wait a while till he hears from Amitabh uncle.
