A 23-year-old foreign national was molested at the Mumbai International Airport while she was trying to connect to the WiFi. According to the police, the incident happened at around 6.40am on November 22, when the accused an employee with a private firm took the victim to the prayer room located at the T2 departures level 4.

Sources said the entire episode lasted for almost more than an hour before the UK national flew to Colombo. She had arrived from the UK and was waiting for her flight to Sri Lanka. She was trying to connect to WiFi and sought the accused help. It was then the accused identified as Mohsin Shaikh, 23, took her to the hall and while she was trying to establish the internet connection her touched her inappropriately on three different occasions. The foreign national then raised an alarm and rushed to the entry gate.

She then complained to the CISF, who immediately nabbed Shaikh and informed the Sahar police. "The police arrested the accused under section 354 of the IPC. He was produced before a court and was later released on bail," said the police officer.
