A day after Bhandup businessman Dinesh Jain (25) committed suicide after killing his family of three, the motive behind the horrific incident is still unclear.

Jain strangled his two daughters, Varsha (4) and Toshika (1), and wife Monica (22) with a nylon rope and then hung himself from the kitchen fan yesterday morning.

The cops recovered a suicide note from the Jains' residence. However, it is still not known why Jain did it. Bhanwarlal Jain, a distant cousin, said, "Jain was financially stable.

He was a calm person and rarely argued. We are still clueless as to why he would take such an extreme step."u00a0

Investigating officer I More, said, "According to the suicide note which was found near the corpse, Jain must have strangled his children with a nylon rope and later killed his wife.

So far we have not been able to find the cause for his suicide."

Constant knocking

The bodies were discovered by Jain's sister-in-law Radhika (name changed) after she returned home from a holiday yesterday morning.

"I knocked on the door for a long time. When no one answered, I got suspicious and decided to call the neighbours. I had never expected such a tragedy in our family. We were all so happy," said Radhika.

Relatives plan to take all the four bodies to Udaipur for the final rites, after the postmortem is done.
