A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped and burnt alive by four persons at Antop Hill in central Mumbai, police said here on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Rajesh Devendra, Kumar Devendra, Nitya Devendra and Shankar Mudaliyar gangraped the victim at her residence on Monday when she was alone, they said.
"The accused subsequently poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze. The victim sustained 90 per cent burns," Deputy Police Commissioner SD Bhaviskar said. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her burns.
