The eager wait finally came to an end for school leaving students of CBSE affiliated schools, when the Std XII results for the year 2011 were announced at the official CBSE website at 8 am yesterday morning.


The eager wait finally came to an end for school leaving students of CBSE affiliated schools, when the Std XII results for the year 2011 were announced at the official CBSE website at 8 am yesterday morning. The results were declared punctually on the date that had been announced earlier. The board, however, has not declared its toppers yet. Of course, this did not prevent the successful candidates from celebrating their accomplish- ments. MiD DAY spoke to the brilliant scholars and shared in their euphoria.

"My school holds exams periodically. While preparing for these exams, I became well-versed with every aspect of my syllabus. I regularly practiced Mathematics and Accounts. I started preparing seriously for the examination only in the last few months," said Monal Om Jaiswani (17), student of Rajhans Vidyalaya, who scored 97 per cent in the Commerce stream.

"The credit for my success largely goes to my parents and teachers," said Shreya Bhargava (18), student of R N Podar School, who scored a 97.4 per cent in Commerce. "I want to thank all my teachers. I could cover the entire syllabus only because of their guidance," said Riya Singla (17), student of R N Podar School, who scored 91.8 per cent in the Financial Markets Management (FMM) stream.

Other successful candidates revealed the techniques adopted by them during preparation. "My study plan included learning the study matter, sentence by sentence. After completing a portion of the syllabus, I would try to estimate what kind of questions were likely to be asked by the examiners," said Shree Ram RadhaKrishnan (17), student of Apeejay School, Nerul who scored 97.6 per cent in the Science stream.u00a0

"The trick lay in having intimate knowledge of the syllabus. I had excellent teachers who helped me throughout the year," said Neeti Bhatt (17), student of R N Podar School, who scored 96.4 per cent in the Humanities stream. Though the authorities had announced that the CBSE Standard X results would be declared before the Std XII results, they ended up publishing the latter ahead of the former, as work on Std X results is still underway.
