A visit to Mumbai to see Lalbaugcha Raja turned tragic for a 25-year-old Pune-based engineer, who died after suddenly taking ill while waiting in the queue for darshan.
The incident occurred late on Thursday. Around 11.40 pm, while standing in queue, Jaideep Meghraj Nemade complained of breathlessness.
His friends alerted the police, who rushed him to a help desk. He was taken to hospital in an ambulance. However, he was declared dead before he could be admitted, said officials.
Preliminary information indicates that Nemade may have suffered a severe cardiac episode. The post-mortem report is awaited.
