The police yesterday found the body of a three-day-old baby in a dustbin at Ballard Pier. Sources said a shopkeeper, who went to throw some garbage, saw a round object inside a polythene bag, which, he said, looked like a human organ. He immediately called up the police control room.

Zone I DCP Manoj Sharma said, "With the help of BMC officials, we removed the bag and found a newborn girl." The MRA Marg police have registered a case and are scanning CCTVs in the area.
