The Kurla police have arrested a man in his early 20s for allegedly trying to sexually assault a six-year-old girl. The accused is a house help at the girl's house.
The girl lives with her family in Kurla and goes for tuitions with a neighbour. Both girls' parents would go to fetch them from tuition classes on alternate days.
On Wednesday, the girl's parents asked their house help to bring the girls home. The man took their child to the terrace of the building where the classes are conducted and started touching her inappropriately. He tried to undress her when the girl raised an alarm. Aâu00c2u0080u00c2u0088watchman, who had come to the terrace to open a water valve, caught the man.
The man was sent to three days' police custody by a POCSO court on Thursday.
