The Kharghar police recently arrested a constable attached to Khandeshwar police station for taking Rs 1 crore in old currency from a woman on the pretext of exchanging them with new notes.

The constable had told the woman he could easily exchange the notes at the bank as he was a cop. The woman trusted Mahasane and handed him Rs 1 crore to exchange. For the next one year, the woman kept chasing the constable to return her money but the constable kept ignoring her.
