A 25-year-old resident of Andheri (W) has registered an FIR against two people, who allegedly threatened and verbally abused her, after she told them off for attacking a cat.

The incident occurred on September 4 at around 4.30 pm when Roshni Bhavnani (25), a resident of Raheja Classic, was near the Domino's Pizza outlet at Samarth Vaibhav Circle, in her car.

"My boyfriend's dog was not well, so we were taking him to the hospital. On the way, we had to stop at an ATM, where, while leaving we saw a man picking up and throwing a cat against the road. We stopped the car near him and asked him why did he did that, to which he said, "Main paagal hoon, main kucch bhi kar sakta hoon." (I am mad, I can do anything). Then his friend showed up and started abusing us and passing lewd comments at me. He said, "Jo ukhadna hai ukhad le" (Do whatever you like). We went to Oshiwara Police Station to lodge a complaint,' said Bhavnani.

Police picked up one of the accused, Deepak Godambe. "Even at the police station he was threatening me. He said, 'I will not forget your face.' He also tried to run away, and the police chased him and brought him back," she added.

"She saw two men attacking a cat outside the Domino's outlet," said Senior Police Inspector Subhash Khanvilkar of Oshiwara Police Station. "When she told them off, the three began to argue. One of the persons threatened, and later verbally abused her," he said.

An FIR was registered under sections 354(A), 504 , 506, 427 and 34 the same day at Oshiwara Police Station, against Godambe.
