Roshan Abbas's storytelling tour Indradhanush marks a defining personal milestone as he steps onto the stage after decades of shaping others' voices. Following sold-out shows in Mumbai, the performance returns on May 2 and May 9, before travelling to Gurgaon, Delhi, and Bengaluru through May and June.

Blending humour with reflection, the show traces his journey from Lucknow to becoming a celebrated radio voice. As Abbas shared, "I hope that somewhere in my stories, you find your own rainbow."

Homer Simpson's in Mumbai

What emerged as a curious idea turned into a striking act of street art when graffiti artist Mooz (Raj Pathare) approached a truck driver, David, with an unusual request - that he could paint his tempo. After a few rejections, David agreed, intrigued by the idea. "I wanted to make my art accessible - something people could see moving around the city," said Mooz.

On one side, he painted Homer Simpson lounging playfully across his signature lettering; on the other, he added David's name and branding. "I didn't charge him anything. This was passion," he adds. The artwork, completed in a few hours, has since caught attention online, and on the streets. Reflecting on the experience, he said, "It's amazing to see people spotting it and connecting with it - it's exactly why I do what I do." The project also highlights how everyday spaces can transform into moving galleries, bringing art closer to people in the most unexpected and delightful ways.

Ibiza gets a Marathi twist

From Virar to Ibiza, DJ Kratex aka Krunal Ghorpade is all set to take his M-House (short for Marathi House) music to the ANTS Ibiza Next Gen set for April 30. "For me, it's not just a contest, it's a chance to put Marathi music on a global dancefloor," Ghorpade told this diarist. His set will blend house beats with Marathi vocals, including his record breaking rework of the song Taambdi Chaamdi. "I want people in Ibiza to feel the culture, not just hear it," Ghorpade added. Having already seen his music travel across Europe, DJ Kratex told this diarist, "I think it's time for Ibiza to get used to some iconic Marathi tracks."

Central on comedy

Everyone has, at least once in their life, contemplated stand-up comedy. Well, stand-up comic Sudhir Bhalekar, aka Sudhir Budhir, has opened a space dedicated to just that. Set inside Bites and Brews by Tia at Hiranandani Meadows, Thane, it has become a new hotspot for emerging performers. "Since I'm from Thane, I realised there are not a lot of spaces for comedy on the Central Railway line. Hence this place was born. Upcoming and amateur stand-up comics can come, prepare their script and perform in front of an audience every Thursday.

On April 23, we had our opening show called Comedy Bites, which featured casual and candid comedy," Bhalekar told us. The idea behind the venue is to give beginners confidence and stage time to rehearse, become comfortable, and ease into live performance, he added.
