For Mumbai's wildlife enthusiasts, Wild Doc Studios' new video titled Showreel 2026, brings together years of wildlife research, photography and filmmaking by its founders, Gaurav Patil, Atharva Raut, Sarang Naik and Samyak Bhat. Featuring footage and timelapses captured by the four over the period of two to 15 years, the showreel also includes excerpts from films such as Beyond the Conflict, centred on the leopard rescue centre at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, and Ohoti, that tells the story of Pradip Patade, the co-founder of Marine Life of Mumbai. "All four of us bring different skills and experiences to the table, but what brought us together was our shared interest in wildlife filmmaking, our focus on ethics and our desire to tell a good story," said Naik. Gung-ho about the Grammys

Students participate in a music session at The Sound Space

Mumbai-based sisters Kamakshi Khurana and Vishala Khurana have a reason to turn up the volume. Their music initiative, The Sound Space, has become a member of the Recording Academy, giving them the opportunity to vote for the prestigious Grammy Awards. "At The Sound Space, our work has always been rooted in our belief in the power of music to connect, inspire and transform lives. To now be part of a global community of music creators and professionals, and to have the opportunity to vote for the Grammy Awards, is both humbling and deeply meaningful to us. We are grateful for the journey that has brought us here, and we hope to continue contributing to a musical world that makes space for diverse voices, traditions and ways of experiencing music," they told this diarist.

The milestone puts the sisters in a position to have their say in music's biggest celebration, while connecting with creators and professionals from across the globe.

Desi fans of the Polish fantasy role-playing video game and series The Witcher may know its characters, but Andheri-based cosplayer Medha Srivastava is now getting noticed by its creators, CD Projekt Red, the Polish video game developer known for role-playing video games like The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077.
Srivastava has been selected for the company's year-long creator and ambassador programme, which brings together cosplayers and others passionate about its games. Speaking about the achievement, Srivastava said, "I am very grateful to have this opportunity and to be recognised by an international audience and the developers of the game I have been cosplaying for about a decade." For us, we're happy to see a Mumbaikar being part of something this cool!
