Mumbai: Fire breaks out in Malad's Pathanwadi area; no injuries reported

A fire broke out in the Pathanwadi area of Sanjay Nagar in Pimpripada, Malad East, on Saturday afternoon, affecting approximately 15-20 galas (commercial units).

The blaze was reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) at 12:54 pm on Saturday. The MFB declared it a Level II fire at 1:03 pm, prompting the deployment of multiple emergency response teams.

Agencies mobilised at the scene included the Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, BMC ward staff, 108 ambulance services, and Adani Electricity to manage the situation and prevent escalation.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far. Firefighting operations and further assessment are ongoing.
