Minister Ashish Shelar has directed officials to use satellite mapping, drones, and the NETRAM system to identify illegal structures and prepare an action plan to make Mumbai encroachment-free by the end of April

Minister Ashish Shelar on Monday directed officials to use technology, including satellite mapping and drones, to identify illegal structures and prepare an action plan by the end of April to make Mumbai encroachment-free.

Shelar, state IT and Mumbai Suburban guardian minister, held a meeting. MLA Mihir Kotecha; Environment Department Secretary Jayashree Bhoj; City Suburban Collector Saurabh Katiyar; MHADA Mumbai Chief Officer Milind Borikar, and officials from SRA, BMC and MPCB attended the meeting.
