Ad filmmaker Shwetab Chandra Verma was on Sunday booked on charge of harassing his wife for dowry after she lodged a complaint in Versova police station.
Verma was booked under section 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the IPC, an official said.
Verma had been physically assaulting her since they got married in 2013 and demanding dowry, he said quoting the complaint.
