Mumbai is expected to witness a partly cloudy sky with hot and humid weather conditions on Thursday, June 18. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is likely to experience hot and humid conditions during the day, with the possibility of light rain or a thunderstorm towards late night or the early hours of Friday.

The forecast further indicates that while widespread rainfall is unlikely during the day, isolated showers could provide some relief from the prevailing humidity at night.

According to the IMD, the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 34.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to remain close to 28.5 degrees Celsius.

High tides expected

The city will also experience significant tidal activity. A high tide of 4.79 metres is expected at 2:44 pm on Thursday, while another high tide of 4.04 metres is forecast at 2:32 am on June 19. The low tides are scheduled for 8:54 pm on Thursday at 1.38 metres and 8:28 am on Friday at 0.75 metres.

0.08 mm rainfall in the last 24-hours

Mumbai air quality remains satisfactory

Even as weather conditions remained humid, Mumbai's air quality continued to stay within the "good" category on Thursday.

According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board's (CPCB) SAMEER application, the city's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 48.

An AQI between 51 and 100 is classified as satisfactory, indicating that air quality is generally acceptable and poses little or no health risk to most residents.
